Toni L Kennedy, LCSW MSW
Toni is the owner of Stepping Stones Family Counseling. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Southern California with a Masters Degree in Social Work. She is a certified custody evaluator as well. She is passionate about the treatment of children and families. She is certified to treat all needs from depression/anxiety to severe complex trauma to substance abuse and severe mental illness. She is passionate about what she does. She just loves to help individuals and families succeed and thrive together. She started this agency to provide services to all in need regardless of ability to pay. Toni his highly certified in the treatment of trauma. This includes Child Centered Play Therapy, EMDR, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, ART and many other evidence based modalities.
Korin Richins, LCSW, MSW, Loa, Utah
Korin holds a Master of Social Work and a Bachelor of Science in Human Development & Family Studies from the University of Utah. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a licensed School Social Worker for K-12 grades. Passionate about strengthening families, her expertise lies in assisting young children, teenagers, adults, and families in processing emotions, promoting learning, and strengthening relationships. With a background in autism, anxiety, depression, divorce, grief, trauma, mood dysregulation and severe behavioral issues, she uses evidence-based approaches to empower individuals and families to learn new skills and create lasting change.
Stephanie Chappell, Facilitator/Life Coach
Stephanie is an undergraduate student in Social Work. She facilitates groups from age four on through to adulthood. She is engaging, well spoken and fun to be around. She’s passionate about educating kids and learning to recognize their own needs in real time. She is so excited to continue her education and one day be a therapist herself! She also supervises visitation for parents in need of that service. She’s passionate about helping all families in need.
Cherie Swann, ICSW, Group Facilitator
Cherie is an intern clinical social worker. She is working on her masters degree from Utah State University and is set to graduate in 2025. She is trained in EMDR and MBB. Her theoretical framework focuses on strengths based person centered therapy. Cherie is passionate about helping others find the solutions that work for them. Growing up in a large family, Cherie learned an appreciation for the individual. She developed an understanding of multiple perspectives. She came to appreciate the intricacies of inter familial relationships. Working in the schools with special needs children, she learned that behavior is communication. She also learned that people generally are doing the best they know how. She also developed an appreciation for the value of curiosity. She believes that each person, when given the support necessary, has the power within them to solve whatever life throws at them.
Tina Carlson, ICSW, Group Facilitator
Tina Carlson, ICSW, was drawn to social work by a desire to help vulnerable children and families. As a DCFS caseworker, Tina found that many parents deal with substance use disorder, and Tina completed her training as a Substance Use Disorder Counselor. Here at Stepping Stones Family Counseling, Tina is excited to work with complete family systems, leading groups from pre-school aged children to adults. Tina’s motto is “Never trade what you want MOST for what you want at the MOMENT”
Joan Norton, ICSW, Panuitch, Utah
Joan has always worked to amplify her skills with families and children. She has worked 25+ years helping families achieve their best. Now with this opportunity, she will be able to add another dimension to the helping profession. Raising a foster child has heightened her awareness of the need for more individuals in the social work field to help parents and children. Today’s society has become more stressful for families and there is a need to cultivate and learn new, more effective ways to deal with life stressors.

Mindy Wright, CMHC
To know her is to love her! Come find out!! Mindy loves what she does. She takes great joy in helping people find who they always were. She’s very very knowledgeable. She highly educated and certified in many modalities so that she can broaden the kinds of help she provides. She’s also very flexible and enjoys engaging in change and learning. She is highly independent and very happy.
